Answers to common questions about sessions, funding, meals, and joining Little Einsteins Childcare Centre on the University of Hull Campus.

What age children do you care for?

We care for children aged 0 to 5 years at our University of Hull Campus setting, with capacity for up to 130 children.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm. Morning sessions run 7:30am–12:30pm and afternoon sessions 1:00pm–6:00pm.

Do you provide meals?

Yes. We serve delicious home-made meals with a healthy, yummy menu that changes often but remains high quality. Dietary requirements and allergies are accommodated.

What funding do you accept?
We provide funded early education for eligible 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds. Two-year-old funding is available for families meeting eligibility criteria — parents apply via the local authority (01482 318318). All 3- and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 universal hours; working parents may qualify for an extended 15 hours (30 hours total). Tax-Free Childcare is also available. How do you communicate with parents?

We use the Famly app for constant visibility of your child's day, photos, updates, and direct communication with the setting.

How does settling in work?
We plan welcome messages, visits, and settling-in sessions to support your child's transition. We advise a minimum of two sessions for continuity, helping children feel safe and settled. See our Settling In page for details.
